Surveillance video and Facebook help catch criminal

GLOVERSVILLE ? After pictures of a suspect wanted for shattering a storefront window were posted on Facebook he turned himself in to police.

Nineteen-year-old Javon P. Taylor of Gloversville turned himself into police after seeing himself on The Leader Herald?s Facebook page.

Taylor is accused of striking the window of Vishnu Music in Gloversville and causing it to shatter at 3:45 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Surveillance video was taken from the store and still images were posted on The Leader Herald?s Facebook page. Taylor admitted to the actions in the video.

He was processed and released, scheduled to appear in court later in January.
